Tools, software and formats for open-source geospatial One-on-One

In this course you will get an overview of the most important open-source formats, software and tools that you can use for geospatial application.

This course is aimed towards people who want to explore open-source geospatial tools, or want to migrate from commercial geospatial tools towards open-source tools and need to find alternatives. This course does not go into depth in each tool to understand the basic components of software or formats, it rather focuses on use-cases and deployment

Course outcome:

During this course you will:

1. Be able to install open-source software.
2. Understand which tools to use and when.
3. Have a brief demo of the tools and how to implement simple operations.

This course requires 16 hours and it is split up into 4 days of 4 hour sessions.
